# How to create a new enterprise

 Creating a new Enterprise

Enterprises are a way of separating different streams of income in MaiaGrazing.

Enterprises are a way of separating different streams of income in MaiaGrazing. You can add as many Enterprises as you like – the sole purpose is for you to be able to compare the performance of these over time.

**You must have at least one enterprise. **

For example, if you run a breeding and fattening operation and want to separate the kg/lb produced and $ between the two, then create two Enterprises.

This goes for different livestock as well – many will have a Sheep Breeding Enterprise, Sheep Fattening Enterprise, Cattle Breeding Enterprise and Cattle Finishing Enterprise.

- **Open** up the Settings Dashboard **(Step 1)**
- **Click** on *Enterprise Setup ***(Step 2)**

- **Click** into the data entry box under enterprise name. **(a)**

- **Click** on *'Add New Enterprise'* button to enter additional enterprises **(b)**
- **Delete** an enterprise during setup by hovering your mouse to the right of the enterprise name and click on the blue cross when it appears.**(c)**
- **Click** on *'Save & Close'* when you have finished setting up your enterprises **(d)**
